No thumbnail preview in Gmail and Google drive

The thumbnail preview of an attached picture in Gmail or in Google drive is not available in NetFree.

NetFree's reason:

• The images are stored in a domain where there are also improper material and there is no distinction between them.

Solution:

• Unfortunately there is not yet a solution to this problem.

There is no way to publicly share files

NetFree's reason:

• Publicly shared files may contain negative content, which may possibly get to the users. also, since the link stays around, chances are that it will be publicized.

Solution:

• Use short term file sharing, or you may share a file privately. For more information about transferring files in NetFree, read sharing and transferring files in NetFree.

Video clips are closed even on open sites

You can request a video to be checked only if it is from YouTube or Vimeo, or a video from a checked site that stems from them. There is no option to request video checking from any other site, even if the site is opened, aside from certain sites that are completely open.

Partial solution:

• Some sites allow you to download just the sound of the video, which may work in certain cases.

Difficulty shopping online, or using sites with a lot of pictures

There are times when there is a lot of traffic in the picture checking,and it is therefore hard to shop online, because the pictures take a few minutes until they are checked.

NetFree's reason:

• At times of high picture traffic, sometimes the pictures get checked only after a few minutes, meaning you will have to wait a few minutes to view the pictures.

Solution:

• You can wait a few minutes until the pictures are checked. It is suggested to scroll down to all the pictures that you need even before you start so that they are all sent to be checked. Or if possible you can wait for lower traffic times to go shopping.
• We should mention that there are times that the time to have your pictures checked can reach over an hour and we are working very hard to solve this problem. We should have it solved in the near future.

Google maps street view

There is no google maps street view in NetFree.

NetFree's reason:

• It clogs the picture checking process and is a big expense for NetFree.
• Checking these pictures are harder and it is more likely that there will be mistakes.

Solution:

• Unfortunately there is no solution at this point.

In special cases you can request it through the ticket system.

The chrome extensions store is closed

You are not able to add extensions direcly from the store, only by manually dragging a CRX file to the extensions.

NetFree's reason:

• the chrome extension store is mixed good and bad content, and therefore can't be opened completely.

It is not possible to download apps. from the Windows store

NetFree's reason:

• The Windows app store has good and bad content mixed, and therefore can not be completely opened.

solution: If you encounter a specific app that you need you can send a recording of the closure through the ticket system for a specific checking.

Pinterest is closed

NetFree's reason:

• Due to the variable size of the images on this site, there were many errors in opening images that contain negative content.

Since the primary use of the site is the images, and can not be filtered properly (at least for now), the pictures are blocked.

Facebook is closed

Facebook is closed even for business purposes.

NetFree's reason:

• Facebook is a social network and is therefore completely closed.

Solution:

• Special social media posting sites like hootsuite.com, which allow you to post on Facebook through them.

Linkedin is closed

Linkedin is closed even for business use.

NetFree's reason:

• Linkedin has been checked a number of times to see if there is a possibility to open it. There is problematic content Which we can't fully rely on the robot to properly block.

MEGA is closed

MEGA, as well as any site that connects to it for backup or synchronization do not work on NetFree.

NetFree's reason:

• The site uses encryption at the browser level, so there is no way to verify whether the content is public, or private and appropriate.
