Google Search

The Text Filter Robot filters the text of Google search results in the same manner as in all other sites. The robot censors inappropriate sentences, if there is a large amount of negative text on the page, the entire page is blocked.

The search results then go through additional filtering:

• Pages that have been checked by NetFree and have been found inappropriate, including pages from sites that are open, but have been blocked by the Text Filter, do not appear in the search results. Results that have been blocked, are shown in the search results as X-X-X-X-X-X.
• Sites that are blocked due to Kehilla settings or Personal Filter Settings appear with an exclamation point red icon next to them:
• Sites that have not yet been reviewed appear with a question mark blue icon next to them: . Clicking on the icon will open a new request in NetFree's Support System to open the site.

Web browser extensions

Chrome Web Store

The Chrome Web Store store is open in NetFree. In order to install an extension you should try to download it. The first time an extension is downloaded, an error will occur. At this point the extension is automatically sent to the image and [Text Filter|text] filters. Try again after a few minutes, if the extension is found to be appropriate after testing, it will be opened to all users.

Microsoft Edge Extensions Store

The Microsoft Edge Store store is open in NetFree. In order to install an extension you should try to download it. The first time an extension is downloaded, an error will occur. At this point the extension is automatically sent for pictures and [Text Filter|text] filtering. Try again after a few minutes, if the extension is found to be appropriate after testing, it will be opened to all users.

Firefox Extensions Store

The Firefox Store store is open in NetFree, But extensions can not be installed. In order to install an extension, send a request to NetFree (with at least one point), if the extension is found to be appropriate it will open to all users and can be installed directly from the store.

Video sites

YouTube

YouTube is opened in a very careful manner in NetFree.

Any video that has not yet been reviewed has a "שלח את הוידיאו לבדיקה" (submit video for review) button. By clicking the button, you will be taken to the NetFree's Support System to send the video for review, if the 'Video' category is blocked in your Personal Filter Settings, the button will not appear on any video.

NetFree's employees check the video and if it is clean they open it to all NetFree users, if the video is found to not be appropriate, it will no longer show the "שלח את הוידאו לבדיקה" button and only a NetFree icon will be displayed.

If the system detects that the video can not be opened (the video has been removed / does not exist, a page of a channel, a playlist, search results, etc. - any page whose content is not an available video display page), the custom blocking page appears without the option "שלח את הוידאו לבדיקה".

Channel owners may request to open their entire channel, subject to conditions.

Vimeo site

The Vimeo site is opened at a very careful manner in NetFree.

Any video that has not yet been reviewed has a "שלח את הוידיאו לבדיקה" (submit video for review) button. By clicking the button, you will be taken to the NetFree's Support System to send the video for review, if in your Personal Filter Settings you have chosen for the 'Video' category to be blocked , the button will not appear on any video.

Sharing sites

Google Drive

As long as a link to a file or folder has not been made available to the public, but has been received by email or privately, it can be viewed and downloaded. A publicly posted and distributed file is automatically blocked and requires a private check on each link individually. The link can be sent for review with a point.

Files shared via private sharing are not blocked even if the link is in a public place.

Dropbox

Files that are shared for the public way are blocked, and can not be downloaded even to the file owner as long as he does not disable file sharing. You can send the link to be checked by NetFree with a point, and NetFree will download it for you by the "Goy of the Internet".

Files that are shared in a private manner are open. Ie they can be downloaded by the receiving user, and they are not reviewed.

Jumbomail

Google Image Search

NetFree's Image Filter also filters in Google Image Search results, but only a small amount of images appear. Also images that are have not been set to be checked will not be sent for review, and you should not send a request regarding these images.

Wikipedia

The site is full of false and misleading information, and it contains a lot of information which is not appropriate for Chareidi Jews. Many entries relating to Judaism, religion and our holy Torah, are deliberately and falsely misrepresented there. It is infeasible to filter out this content, and no robot can detect and block these texts, so the intention is to eventually to block the site entirely. However, since the site is consumed by many, and useful, it has been decided to do it gradually, at this stage there is an auto redirect to 'Hamichlol' when attemting to view an entry that aready exists in Hamichlol. Entries that do not yet exist in Hamichlol currently open in Wikipedia. ["Hamichlol" is an attempt to create an acceptable and Torah true alternative to Wikipedia. It is currently only available in Hebrew. Wikipedia in all other languages remains open and not redirected.]
If Wikipedia is blocked by Kehilla or Personal Filter Settings you receive a blocking page (relevant, by reason of blocking) and the redirect is inactive.
