Connecting to a service provider
Use of the internet is done through an internet service provider, which is a company that connects you to the world wide web. Since NetFree is a a filter at the ISP level, it is first necessary to be connected to an ISP that supports NetFree. This can be done by getting in touch with a service provider that supports NetFree. There are two types of connections that currently support NetFree, wired connection and mobile connection.
Installing the security certificate
Once you are connected to NetFree, the system will automaticly request you to download and install the security certificate.Installing the security certificate is necassary for filtering secure sites. You can read more about this in Security certificate, and in the NetFree Privacy policy
Click Download Software to install the NetFree certificate.
Start the program and click Yes. Click Next.
To continue installation you must agree (type "I agree") and accept the terms. Confirm the conditions and click Install.
Opening an account with NetFree
In order to receive NetFree's wide range of services and enjoy professional support, you must open a user account in the NetFree system. After installing the certificate you will be prompted to open a NetFree account. The account name is your phone number. To verify that the number is indeed yours, the system will authenticate your number, during which you will receive a call and will be asked to enter the number that will appear on your caller ID. (For users outside Israel, just put in the final numbers after the zeros.)
There is no connection between the user name and password you received from the vendor and the user account of NetFree. NetFree's user account is one-way versus a phone number, and he can move from one connection to another if necessary.
