Important Background

The field of artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving and constantly changing, which also makes it difficult to filter. For this reason, many AI chat websites are completely blocked on NetFree.
However, NetFree performs content filtering within conversations on some AI platforms (mainly ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok) by injecting filtering instructions directly into the AI engine itself.
AI technology is based on statistical learning and natural language processing, and therefore cannot guarantee absolute accuracy in following filtering instructions. As a result, mistakes may occasionally occur.
The current method is presently the most effective way to ensure that content meets the required standards — this is a necessary limitation that enables safe and appropriate use of these sensitive platforms.

Filtering Policy

In accordance with the guidelines we have received from leading rabbinical authorities, we restrict two types of content:

1. Prohibited Content

Content that is not appropriate according to Halacha.

2. Faith-related, religious, and Torah topics

AI tools learn information from across the internet, including distorted or incorrect sources. It is not possible to control the learning sources, and therefore there is a concern about inaccurate information. This is comparable to a religious discussion with a Christian who knows both Christianity and Judaism. To prevent misinformation or the presentation of inappropriate content — these topics are restricted.

Although filtering may sometimes cause errors, this is a necessary mechanism that we cannot forgo.

Troubleshooting Guide

Received an incorrect block?

First, try the following actions:

  1. Resend the question — sometimes the issue is resolved on a second attempt.
  2. Rephrase the question — try a different wording or use a shorter/clearer phrasing.
  3. Open a new chat — start a new conversation and try again.

If the issue still persists: If the chat continues to respond that “NetFree does not allow it to talk” even on legitimate topics, this is a technological limitation that cannot currently be resolved.

In such cases, it is recommended to try using other AI platforms available on NetFree.

Image Generation Issues

The normal process

When requesting image generation:

  • The image is automatically sent for review.
  • You should wait about half a minute for it to return.

The image does not return?

In Gemini

  • Refresh the page using the refresh button or Ctrl + F5.

In GPT

  1. Click the Share button below the image.
  2. Copy the generated link.
  3. Open it in the browser.
  4. The image will be sent for review again.
  5. After about half a minute, refresh the page there using the refresh button or Ctrl + F5.
Step 1: Click the share button
Step 2: Copy the link

  • Additional solution for GPT: In the personal filtering settings, enable “Allow filtering of content known to be personal or private”.

In Grok

Additional Issues

Private GEM in Gemini

It is not possible to create or use a private GEM in Gemini (i.e., a custom bot that remembers user-defined instructions).
(Except for the GEM that is automatically defined there — the one named NetFree.)

Music generation

The music generation feature in Gemini does not work. (Apparently, this is also the case on other sites such as suno.com.)

Downloading an image sends it for review again

In Gemini, it is common that an image that was already reviewed is sent for review again when downloading it to the computer.
This happens because the downloaded image has a different identifier, and is therefore considered a new image that must be reviewed again.

  1. One solution is to download the image again about half a minute after the first download. By then, the downloadable version should have already returned from review and will download properly.
  2. Another solution is to right-click the image and choose “Copy image”, and then paste it without waiting.
