The Problem

Users connected to NetFree via NetFree Software (or via NetFree VPN) sometimes face a common problem where when searching on the Internet, Google returns search results based on the server location and not the user's actual location.

Solution 1 - Change Google Search Settings

1. Go to Google Search Settings page.
2. Change the settings to the desired location and language.
3. Save the changes.

Advantage: Automatic synchronization between all devices.

Solution 2 - Change the search engine in the browser

Instructions in Chrome:
1. Go to the search engine settings from the following link chrome://settings/searchEngines
2. Under "Search specific sites" click Add.
3. In the URL, enter https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&gl=BE (replace BE with the desired country code).
4. Click the three dots and select Set as default.

Common country codes:
IL Israel | US USA | GB England | FR France | BE Belgium
